They did a brilliant display this year.
A great day, i set of from home at 0800, Farnborough is only a 10 min train ride for me and a 10 min ride on a bus. So i got to the airbase at around 0845.
I spent the first few hours just wandering around looking at the aircraft, chatting to the pilots who were open and friendly. One chap was a F18 Navy Pilot. He told me he'd just made Lieutenant Commander. He told me a hair raising story when he had to nurse his damaged F14 Tomcat fighter back to his carrier flying the no fly zone over Iraq before the recent war. One of his engines had conked out and he was exposed to weapons fire from the ground. Plus he had to land the plane of a pitching rolling deck of his carrier. I get sick on a bus!

Sod Tom Cruise these guys were for real.
There was so much to take in.
The air display was really cool, fighter jets, airliners, stunt planes, old, new you name it. Class stuff.
Some samples.
